Alice In Wonderland: The Sequel.
Despite Johnny Depp’s recent comments on retiring from acting he has already signed on for the sequel to Tim Burton’s hit Alice In Wonderland.
When the film came out in 2010 it grossed over one billion dollars, so it was only a matter of time before we got a sequel! With Disney films not going down well with audiences around the world, they need to try and give audiences what they want. An example of this is “The Lone Ranger” – Disney’s latest disappointment, with many critics calling the film an embarrassment. Experts predict the film to lose a whopping 200 million dollars!
The film is going to be titled “Through The Looking Glass”, implying that it is going to based on the much loved book, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up. There is no word that Tim Burton will be directing this one. However, Johnny Depp has just signed on so there is only a matter of time before he, and most likely Helena Bonham-Carter, do too.
This film won’t be getting released anytime soon, since Johnny Depp’s schedule is booked up for the next two years. (I wonder when he will actually have time to retire?)
The film is in its very early stages – no one has a clue what will happen yet. It’s a long wait, let’s hope Disney do a good job.
