The Latest Fashion Trend: Celebrities That “Vape”!
Celebrities are renowned for driving big cars, wearing expensive clothes and buying lavish mansions, but there’s something else that’s been exciting the A-listers of late – electric cigarettes. That’s right, with companies like eshishin.co.uk offering the very best e-cigs on the market, the rich and famous have jumped on the “vaping” bandwagon, but who’s been caught in the act?
He might have just won a second Golden Globe Award for his part in The Wolf of Wall Street, but it wasn’t just DiCaprio’s acting abilities that were recognised during 2014’s glitzy awards ceremony, which took place in January. As the night unfolded, the popular star, who has appeared in many hit films including Titanic, The Beach, Gangs of New York and Django Unchained, attracted media attention by puffing away on an electric cigarette while suited and booted in a full tuxedo – but it’s not just Leonardo who has been seen enjoying his electric accessory.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
American starlette Julia Louis-Dreyfus was also spotted vaping at the Golden Globes as she sat next to fellow actress Reese Witherspoon. Donning a bright, halter-neck top, long earrings and a pair of oversized shades, Louis-Dreyfus – who’s arguably best-known for her portrayal of Elaine Benes on NBC’s Seinfeld, as well as U.S Vice President Selina Meyer in the satirical comedy series Veep – was snapped in a vapour mist as the awards unfolded. Despite many US states bringing in anti-vaping laws, she seemed to be making the most of this new craze.
Katherine Heigl – renowned for playing Dr. Isobel Stevens in the popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy – raised eyebrows when she smoked an electric cigarette live on the David Letterman Show back in 2013. The American beauty puffed away during her interview before describing how it works and stating: “Here, try it”, to a very curious Letterman, who then went on to take several puffs himself. Despite thinking it was a dog whistle at first, the legendary TV host seemed to have great fun with the device, drawing on it and releasing different vapour shapes into the air.
Simon Cowell
He’s thought to have smoked up to 40 cigarettes a day but now it seems even music mogul Simon Cowell has made the big switch. He hit the headlines when fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden revealed details about his tobacco habit, saying: “Simon doesn’t smoke any more. He’s got a vaporising cigarette instead.
He smokes air or rather water. It’s amazing.” So it seems the rich and famous are also using e-cigs to quit their unhealthy habit. Good on them!
Many celebrities have shown their love for e-cigs of late, but what do you think of this new pastime?
